Reading Out Loud Literacy
Trauma comes in many forms and studies continuously show links between literacy and economic status, physical health, and mental stress. When you feel confident to show-up in the world, equipped to represent your brilliance, the whole community benefits. The Reading Out Loud Literacy initiative is funded by the City of Minneapolis Community Trauma Response Fund to support a better outcome for young adults, age 18-30, on a path to health and happiness.
Traditional paths to education may no longer be attractive to a growing number of young people that are ready to take responsibility to educate themselves. By providing an alternative that leverages community to support academic and career goals, Reading Out Loud Literacy has a mission of making literacy accessible to all! Young adults age 18-30, living in Minneapolis, are welcome to apply for:
